Gevorg Poladyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1978. There, he completed his education and in 1993 he came to Greece, where he has been living permanently since 1997.
Having an artistic inclination, he started painting since he was 25, under the direction of Armenian painter Grant Avakian.
He has presented his works in two important exhibitions. His first personal exhibition was in 2011 at the gate of St. George in Heraklion and the second was his participation in the group exhibition dedicated to the International Mother’s Day in 2012 in the Gallery of the Municipality of Nea Ionia. During his artistic course, he created among other things, frescoes, mosaics and icons. His works and icons are in churches and in private collections in America, Europe, Russia, the United Arab Emirates and of course in Armenia and Greece.
He studied at the St. Titus school of Byzantine Iconography with George Cheirakakis as his teacher and he received a certificate with distinction.
In the iconography of churches, he worked under the guidance of great Iconography teachers such as Georgios Cheirakakis, Nikos Viskadourakis and the late Manolis Betinakis.
Recently, he was commissioned with the iconography of а church in Kiev, Ukraine, dedicated to the Holy Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.
